The Junior College Pathway

Some members of the Gridiron Imports Family who have shown the football ability or potential to play scholarship football in the United States but don't have the correct academic profile or enough exposure in their home country.  Junior College is the first step on their path to playing scholarship football in the US. Gridiron Imports services for this process include:

  • Assistance with NCAA Eligibility Center
  • Academic and standardized testing advisement
  • Feedback and advice on schools/programs once offers are made
 

Kilian Zierer

Kilian Zierer from Munich, Germany was playing for the Munich Cowboys and Allgäu Comets at home. Kilian is entering his second season at College of the Canyons in California. Since Gridiron Imports' assistance, Kilian has excelled at COC and earned scholarship offers from many schools including USC, UCLA, Oregon, Nebraska, LSU, TCU, and others before signing with Auburn of the SEC. 

Aaron Donkor

Aaron Donkor from Goettingen, Germany was playing for the Düsseldorf Panthers at home. With Gridiron Imports assistance, Aaron earned a scholarship to play at New Mexico Military Institue (Junior College). After two great seasons at NMMI, he earned a Division 1 scholarship from Arkansas State University in the Sun Belt Conference. Aaron signed with them in the 2019 recruiting class.
 

Remy Feltes

A former standout for the Dortmund Giants in Germany, Remy found his way to New Mexico Military Institute with Gridiron Imports' help.  He capped off a strong Junior College career by earning a scholarship to Division 1 Norflok State University in Virginia.  A dominant defensive tackle, look for him to make an impact in Fall 2019.  
 

Matz Peters

Matz, a 2018 Murray State signee out of New Mexico Military Institute, began his career with the Cologne Crocodiles in Germany.  One of our originial Gridiron Imports family members and also a participant in our first College Camp tour in 2017.  Matz is doing great things for the Racers of Murray State University. 

Daniel Duah

Daniel found his way to New Mexico Military Institute Junior College through Gridiron Imports after playing for Germany's Dortmund Giants.  A terrific Defensive Back prospect, he earned a scholarship to Division 1 Abeline Christian Univeristy in Texas.  Hard working and committed, watch for big things from Daniel starting in the Fall of 2019

Alain Schaerer

Gridiron Import's first Swiss product is Alain Schaerer. He played well and steadily improved in his year and a half at New Mexico Military Institute.  He committed to the University of Buffalo in June 2019 after catching their eye with his spring film and sealing the deal at their camp as a part of our 2019 College Camp Tour.  

Rafal Szymanski

Rafal had a strong career at Rabun Gap School in Georgia after making his way over from Poland in 2016.  After initiall signing with Division 1 William and Mary, an testing site issue with his SAT prevented him from enrolling.  After one semester at New Mexico Military Junior College, he accepted a scholarship offer from the Univerity of Houston!

Junio Aho

Junior attended New Mexico Military JC on scholarship after a tremendous start playing in France.  An elite athlete and pass rusher, he had many offers at the D1 level.  He signed with Southern Methodist University  (SMU) in Dallas, Texas and has been instrumental in the strong season they are having in 2020.
